Haha, Bill, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who uses the table saw for a work bench.   ;D
PS Nice looking humidors!

Thanks guys. I'll admit, I am a tool. ::) Sorry no pic of me, I'm hiding behind the camera. ;D Those are a few months old. I've since done my semi-anual gutting and cleaning. Too many tools, not enough room. As I said before,  Imagine if my festools weren't stackable. Where the hell would I put all that stuff? :-[

That's a great place that you have Chris.  But, finding the Festool stuff in it is a lot like playing "Where's Waldo?".  ;D

I think that beautiful jointer table is in the way. Need me to move it for you? ;D Nice shop.

Well, the name of this section is "Fun, Games and Diversions". ;D

Great shop Chris, as I said earlier some of us get to live our shop fantasies vicariously through this thread so thanks for posting.

A tiny shop, a one car garage (400 sq ft or so) crammed full of house hold stuff with a little room left for some tools.
Started with a Ryobi sliding table saw (which is under the stuff in a corner may not need it now that I have a MFT/3),
various screw drives, etc, inexpensive drill press, etc.

Then I ran into this Festool stuff.....coupled with a MS cash back, slipper green slope...
Everything is used through either Ebay or Craigslist: TS 55 EQ, RO 150, CT 22, CDD 12, DF 500Q, OF 1400, MFT/3

An indispensable tool: Elektra T1

Corner bench that came with our house/garage 11 years ago.

Center of the garage (believe it or not).

I helped out the contractor (or at least I think I did) with trimming of various Ikea side panels and a couple of the doors.
I used our kid's sand box and some scrap wood, this was before I found the MFT/3.

With all my tools, I claim that I'll build up some cabinets in the garage. However working in Silicon Valley in high tech doesn't always leave much spare time.

Peter,

Yes, we are working on a small shop concept for 2010...still too early to discuss the details, but we hope to have more information as we get closer to January.

One of the things that was mentioned in Lebanon recently was something about ideas for small shops.  Perhaps Shane could or would elaborate if it isn't too soon to do so.  I won't because it think it was / is something in process.  It is interesting how the pipeline of knowledge works in two directions now.

Talk about woodworkers "porn"...  :o

My shop is around 2400 square feet & has all wood floors.

My Festool tool list includes.

Sanders - RO 150, RTS 400, DTS 400, DX 93, ETS 125
OF 1400 router, MFS, Domino, HL 850 planer, CT 33
TS 55, TS 75, PSB 300, 1080 & 800 MFTs

The thing I like most about Festool tools is the ability to work almost dust free.
I have been able to cut inside home without making a huge mess.
Also the TS saw & guide rails make it possible to get factory edges with every cut.

Chris,  do you need anyone to help clean up at the end of the day???  I am sure I could make time in my schedule.

Chris won't let me come over as he dislikes drool stains on his tools!!

My whole shop would almost fit into his table-saw station area.
Yes these photos are pure porn!

Chris,

Despite its size, your shop looks overcrowded.  Just give the word and I will be happy to help you remedy the situation.

Seriously though, everybody's workshops look great.  The most important thing is that they work well for the user.

Here is the Qwas Shop. It is 18x26 or 470 square feet. At one time that seemed plenty big but 2 years later and I wish it was twice as big.

My main Festools are the MFT-1080, TS-55, Trion PS-300, OF1010, RS-2 and ETS-150/5 sanders, and the wonderful C12 drill.

Here are some pictures:

My MFT and accessories.

Metal cutting bandsaw. It works horizontally (as shown) or vertically.

Hey Guys, i just have a question, are we all in the same business?  i mean i have spent over 6k on festools and I have a few boxes and you guys got stacks and stacks of the goodies, how does one charge  to acquire this type of collection?  I must be in the wrong business, anyone can steer me into making more money?

I don 't know about the others, but I have purchased several empty systainers and put them to various uses.

This photo is not new to many of you. I fixed it this way back in March and have since then made one slight change. It is a great layout for making cabinets and now it is proving to be as good in making furniture. I sold my my Unisaw over a year ago and while I have missed it on occasion, I find that there is nothing in woodworking that I can't do with this setup.

Funny, Mark...

I want to make sure this isn't perceived as a contest based on who has the biggest or most impressive shop.  Let's face it, we have a wide variety of folks who make up this online community.  A guy crammed into a one car garage, a guy who works out of his van and a guy with a 3,000 sqft megashop are all equally capable of being randomly selected as winners.  The purposes of this contest so members can share their shop environments, get ideas from one another and to see how Festool fits into their shop.  Personally, I think our products work extremely well when there is limited space.  I think for all of us, we are constantly looking for ways to improve our work space to become more efficient and to make better use of the space available.  Over the years, I have seen a lot of innovative uses of space posted in various threads here.

So, let's see more shops!  ;D

I do too Shane, my primary work space is about 130 sqft! You'd be surprised at what you can do with only a MFT and few (okay, I have a lot) of Festool tools. You don't don't have to have large stationary power tools or a ton of space to make great projects.

So, who else has a small shop or workspace, lets see it.
Brice,We do share something in common,...  Same sq.footage shop!!!! :D :DIt is amazing what you can do with Festool and just a little space. But i also like the idea that you can take your "shop" just anywhere pretty quick.
I am going to take some pics of my little shop in the next few days.

I'm a newbie to Festool and FOG so I guess this thread is as good a place to start as any.  My shop is part of a 24 x 24' two car garage.  I have a tablesaw, joiner, bandsaw, drill press, router table, lathe etc. but the bench is where it all comes together.

I have a Festool Domino and love it.  I bought it after talking with Tom Silva (This Old House) at the International Builders Show this January in Las Vegas.  He told me once you get your first Festool you're hooked and he was right!

Kreg (honeydokreg) knows me from over at the JLC Forums.  I called him after I bought the Domino and he was very helpful in getting me started.

Joe,

Welcome to the FOG.  Now we need more photos of you shop.

Kreg is a great guy.  I asked him for advice on something and he offered to take the time to teach me.  Told me that others had taught him so he was just paying it forward.

Can't beat that.
