I am in need of some of these. I have a job coming up in February and don't have time to get some made. I was wandering if anyone has tried the Woodriver knockoffs?

Do you have time to make some of your own?

Here's three examples, but if you search YT for 'cam clamps' you'll find dozens.

I would never have guessed that he was actually referring to miter corner clamps, though he did say he wouldn't have time to make any. [eek]

Yes, from Chestnut Tools. There is a long wait list and I doubt I would get mine by February.

Well that's interesting...I ordered mine and received them in about 7-10 days.  [eek]  Obviously that was a few years ago though.

GM, there is a much simpler - if you do not mind free - solution ... a doe’s foot.

This is made from a piece of scrap, with a square section removed. That is the corner clamp. It is used with a hold down of your choice ...

Use one at each end. They have incredible holding power. I hold down boards and then place across and down the boards. They do not move.

Not just for work holding, but also for clamping frames together, including mitres.

I have several of these Old school Hartford clamps. They look like they’re at least a century old and only cost a few dollars each at a yard sale a quarter century ago. I don’t think I’ve ever used them except as a test. The pins are way too big for something that would be seen. I guess there would have been smaller trim nailed over the big stuff these clamps would have been used on.
