hey guys I really want to buy a cms but here's my problem I'm having a really hard time spending that much money on it without access to all the modules here in the US. It's kinda hard to buy into a system when you can't use it to it's full potential I would not think twice about it if the modules were available would be great for on site work. There are other good router table out there for less money would  just like some feedback from cms owners in the US worth it or not?

I love mine!  I have had the VL for over a year and use it quite a bit. Does it cost more?  Yep. Is the fence the worst part?  Yep. I have an Incra fence mounted to my MFT on a Precision Dogs Precision Plate and love the repeatability. You can build your own or get a Woodpecker (or similar) setup if you want, nothing wrong with that but the ease of setting mine up coupled with the less than 5 minute dial in makes it a winner in my book.

Cheers. Bryan.

I use my CMS all the time.......but I do have the TS 75 module for it.

If I needed a mobile router table, I'd buy the CMS in a heartbeat. The sliding table almost convinced me to buy it. Surely, some after market company will offer a better fence for the CMS.

I am in the same situation.  I have looked at a CMS a few times.  I like the footprint and the capabilities.  Forever I have been moving other Festools up my priority list and thus moving the CMS down in priority hoping the other modules will be available here in the U.S. at some point soon.

I have the CMS GE set and the TS 55 insert. It is a great mobile unit with great dust collection. I personally have no problem with the fence repeatability and I can get my set up to less then 0.5 mm very fast. If I had a bigger shop and didn't need to move it to my different project I would have looked at something different.

It is very unlikely that we will see the other modules in the USA, on the other hand UPS/FedEx makes it a small world. Even with just the router module, if you need portability and dust collection it is a great system. You add the UG stand wings and you can run some very long pieces through it with no problem.

The price (CMS and UG stand) held me back for a while till I got the projects to justify them. Now I have absolutely no regrets about them.

Statement from Festool.

The use of anything other than the OF 1400 and OF 1010 routers and their related accessories with the CMS will void the warranty agreement on the entire system for customers within the US and Canada. Festool does not endorse the application or use of any Festool product in any way other than in the manner described in the Festool Instruction Manual. To reduce the risk of serious injury and/or damage to your Festool product, always read, understand and follow all warnings and instructions in your Festool product's Instruction Manual.
