Can someone with this fence tell me if both sides of the fence is micro adjustable? I see one side is but how is the other side adjusted do both side move together when you use the micro knob.

I have the CMS router setup.

Only one side is micro adjusted - typically used for joining operations.  The in-feed side can be adjusted 'back' from the cutter head.  The out-feed fence does not move.

Typically, for using the micro-adjust in a joiner operation, you would place a straightedge against the fence and just touching the cutter at top-dead-center.  Tighten the fence at that point and then you can micro-adjust the in-feed side to increase the depth of cut as for use in straightening a bow in a piece.

There is no micro-adjustment on the unit for moving both sides of the fence.  There are a few examples on the forum of attachments others have tried to enable a parallel micro-adjustment.

Hope this answers your question -

So you must use the tap the fence back method to make a micro adjustment say for rabbet cut or round over.

Is the correct?

If you are doing a cut where both fences are required to be in the same plane (as you asked) then yes you will need to manually move the fence.
