Connecting a midi extractor hose to a 35mm outlet..?

I imagine this will be so easy and obvious to many of you, but I am away from home and my midi so cannot measure the size of the connector but I may need to connect to a Bosch CM8SJL mitre saw (its a UK model if that makes any difference) that has a 35mm outlet for a couple of days later this week, so can anyone tell me if I can just push my hose into the 35mm outlet or will I need an adaptor of some sort ?

The inlet is D50 (in Festool speak) on all extractors.

The opening paragraph from a long disappeared Festool UK PDF file might help...

All Festool Dust extractors have vacuum inlets that accept any 50mm or 2 inch standard hose ends. The 2 inch standard hose measures 2 inches, or 50mm on the INSIDE Dimension. The outside diameter of a standard 2" hose end coupler is actually 2 1/4", and the inlet in the Festool dust extractor has a 2 1/4" opening. This is the standard in the industry for most shop vacs. Any 2" standard hose will fit the Festool machines.

Just re-read your post and I think I may have got a little confused. I now think you're asking about inserting a Festool hose into the Bosch saw?

If so, the inside of a D36 hose is approximately 36mm, and the *outside* of a D27 hose is about the same size, i.e. 36mm. So hopefully either a D36 or D27 hose should work given there is a little play in the rubber. One will go on the outside, one on the inside.

I think it will work just fine. If your Bosch miter saw has a 36mm dust port (36 is the european standard, not 35, and all german tools use the 36mm standard), then the nozzle of your standard 27mm hose that comes with the midi will fit like a glove.

Bosch do state in their manual that the outlet on their saw is 35mm, but like all us big men, what difference does the odd mm make......
Alex - your picture shows just how I imagined the two to fit - again, thanks to you both.
