Hi

I want to connect two 36mm festool extraction hoses to each other

I want to be able to easily remove them

The reason being is have made a type of shop boom arm and want to be able to detach to remove from the way.

Thanks

Adrian

The method used for joining our hoses requires that you replace the tool end connector with a rotating connector. So, it's not conducive to being able to quickly swap between using it as an extension and a connector to a tool.

Adrian,

You can connect two hoses using the Y-splitter. Also shown in the document I attached.

hi

thanks for that information

i have seen it elsewhere a solution of sorts

the article seems to say to step down to the 27mm and the connector will go inside the standard 36mm end?

would that work?

i am connecting the hose to a ts55, domino xl and a 1400 router. not at the same time

thanks

adrian

When joining hoses, you have to replace the tool end with a rotating connector. THEN, you can connect another hose, whether it be a 27 or 36.

Can you provide a photo or link to what you've seen that you're trying to replicate?

hi again,

i am not sure of the name, would that work or is your suggestion more suitable?

thanks

I've not personally tried it, but yes I believe it will work. There are others here who could probably give you advice since they've used one. You would need a section of 27mm hose to make this. So, you'd have to cut your 27mm hose in two or buy another 27mm hose and a tool end to make it.
