Cordless TS55 pleaseee

The cord is annoying, but I have to deal with the vac hose, anyway.  I was thinking of using a quick velcro to attach the cord to the hose, just so that it would be a little easier to manage.

I don't make cuts without the CT connected, so a cordless TS has no appeal to me.

It sounds like a really interesting bit of kit being multi voltage.. up to 70m cut in 18mm board

When I had a visit from Germany by one of the Festool tech guys when they were designing the ts55r ,that was one of the questions he asked . Would I like to see a cordless version ? I said no as its not that often I've not got power.

It's a very 50/50 subject but it would be guaranteed revenue as ppl will buy them, me for starters. I do a lot of contract/ site kitchen fitting and a cordless ts55 would be perfect, excellent finish with no mains power needed. I use a Hilti 22v circular with rail guide which works well and was extremely dear for what it is so loving the info that Festool have made one. If anyone has any info sling it up :)

Not happy with you!!!! Poo head!   Always say yes!

A cordless version would be brilliant for me!!

It would Compliment the carvex!

I know people say what's the point because you have a hose any way well...... No.

I don't know about most people but when I am on a job and I need to just do two or three cuts using the TS55 I don't bother with dust extraction I can't be bothered! When I use carvex I never use vacuum either.

By the time I got the vacuum out and hose I would of finished cutting.

So being able to just pop out couple benches outside get cordless TS55 out couple cuts back in the van no leads etc the better!

I wouldn't mind if it  only cut 35mm  if it was smaller and light weight because I would only be using it to cut plywood no thicker than 30mm mainly 18mm.

If I was going to be cutting oak etc I would go corded.

Ohh I could've done with one today.  Fitting a kitchen and electrician decided to change fuse board leaving us without power for 3 hrs [mad]

On a Festool Workshop a few weeks ago somebody from Festool told me there will be a dual 18V battery TS saw probabely this spring. It will also work on 1 battery and also on 12 and 14,4 V.
Makita also brings out such a saw this year.

Its a ts55c it is the same as the corded version but without the cord.. so I'm told

Yes.. Just yes! As long as it can cut 2 ends of worktop, sink cut out and hob cut out and a couple of 18mm decor panels it's an instabuy for me

No no I won't be buying straight away I'll wait till they iron out all the faults.

And they to do something like give it one battery or something then about 6months later it will come with two batteries option or something.

I have learnt to wait made the mistake to many times!

Wouldn't mind reviewing one though!

I love cordless tools ... that said, add the weight of 2x 18V 4.2's to a TS55 and you've got a real handful !!

(well ... I need to get some muscle back anyway)

How about a cordless EHL65 while we're at it ;-)

If they do offer it in cordless, now I have an excuse to buy the TS55. The poor TS75 would probably sit most of the time if the cordless one was any good.

For cordless use a dust bag could be attach and still maintain some pretty good dust collection.
