I'm looking to cut square cuts with my rails, on site without my mft setup or anything large.  typically cross cuts of material and occasionally small pieces of plywood.  I've heard that Festool's bevel gauge doesn't stay square repeatedly, and have also seen dewalt makes a square that locks into the rail, as does ezsmart.  price is a factor, but I'll pay for quality.  I don't really care if it can do other angles, only 90 degrees.  any advice?
Thanks,
Scott

The Festool angle unit (491588) works well for me. Just use a reference square to verify and employ the shortest guide rail you have to reduce the chance it will get knocked out of square.

A straight piece of plywood and a pair of nut and bolts that fits in the bottom slot of the rail has always worked for me. Just drill two holes in the ply parallel to the short side, add the nut and bolts, insert into the track, square up the track to the long side, tighten up the nuts and have at it. Or buy a MFS kit and use it. Brent

thanks for the input. I'll try the qwas square.  seems like what I need.  just need to find a nice home to store it...
