CT 26 used for router table dust collection

I'm thinking of buying a CT 26 with one of its functions being used with my router table.  I assume I would use the D36 hose.
Question:
1) would the CT 26 be able to provide enough vacuum for use on a router table  ??? If it works for routers, I assume it would work for a router table
2) my router table has a 2.5" port, is there a festool adapter for this size?

any input would be appreciated

Thanks
Ralph

I use my CT 22 in my shop for all of my dust collection. I do have my vac hooked up to an Oneida Cyclone (the one that sits over a 5 gallon pail). It's connected to all of my Festool tools as well as my table saw and my router table. My ports for the table saw and router table are 2 1/2". I purchased an adapter that fits into the 2 1/2" hole and the other end fits the Festool hose. The hose I use for the table saw & router table are the D36. I barely go through any bags using the cyclone. I would recommend looking into that if you're going to use the CT...otherwise you're going to go through A LOT of bags!

Since I opened my large shop all of my router tables are connected to the plant DC system with 100mm hoses.

Yes, any Festool CT from 22 to 48 has more than enough suction to be effective with the popular commercial router tables sold in the USA. Before I had my shop I used a 2006 vintage CT22 with my router table. Since routing tends to create more chips than dust, filling bags is an issue. I did use a cyclone.

To reduce chip clogging, I used the Festool 50mm hose to connect the cyclone to the router table. Between the CT22 and the cyclone I used the special short 50mm hose supplied with the Festool Boom Arm.

I used the same cyclone with the CT22 and the 50mm hose on my portable contractors table saw.

I would also say, use the 50mm hose with the router table and look into making up a 'Y' connection for the fence and the underside of the router.

I don't think a single CT is going to cut it assuming you are using a typical under table router box.  You could get good above table extraction on your fence but if you split the hose and try to get under table as well you are not going to have enough suction to effectively get most of the chips.  There is an accessory that is very similar to the OF1400 DC hood that mounts under the table that could probably get you there for most operations.

I think you would be fine using a CT with a router table. I was curious about the same thing, so I did some research and found this  video on youtube of the festool cms and a router. He uses a 50mm hose connected to a CT vac. Seems to work fine. There are other videos but this was the best one.
