CT Boom Arm Set: Does this look right to you?

Picked up a Boom Arm (M0114) for my CT 26.  Everything went together as expected and all fit and finishes were, again as expected except:

The part that affixes the boom to the CT handle:

It required a few extra minutes to align the plastic unit that holds it all together:

The center most rear screw appears to be forcing the two parts away, If I loosen, then it twists the front portion?

Does it seem off?  Or am I just going crazy?  If it were any other tool company, I would have assumed it were a tooling discrepancy…

First of all I think you're putting Festool on too much of a pedestal.
Second that fit & finish looks a lot better than it is on mine, so you're worrying over nothing at all (irregardless of the mounting of the components)  In fact, that looks 100% perfect to me and I really don't see what the problem is?

A word of warning though, the metal ring that braces the vertical boom arm itself will cut away into the white paint and reveal bare steel. So if aesthetics are this important to you, you might want to take some kind of precaution for that. Other than that the boomarm  can be a great accessory. Enjoy!

Function is most certainly more important than aesthetics.  I just wanted to make sure I wasn't "forcing" the parts together that would either restrict or allow more or less than engineered to do so.

In the few minutes of use, it has already relived my frustrations of the hose ribs catching on the MFT aluminum profile.
