[Sigh] Hey everyone, I have a question that has been answered (in various ways) many times, but frankly I'm still unable to discern what I need to do to avoid any (however unlikely) problems. I hate that a "repost" is my first post in this forum that I've been lurking around, but I simply cant suss out what my best option is.
I have the Dust Deputy Deluxe. It's the kit that comes with the AntiStatic Dust Deputy, and a Static Dissipative Hose. My goal is to use my CT26 green hose from the DD to the tool. What do I need to add to this system to prevent the possibility of a static charge?
I believe I need coupling to attach the Festool hose to the DD, and I potentially need an additional coupling to connect my DD hose to my CT26. However, I'm very open to replacing that hose to buy myself a bit more freedom in how far apart my CT26 and DD can be.
I've called Oneida several times and they keep referring me to a web article that is a press release instead of a supplier of the information I've been asking them for. My Festool rep thinks it's likely a non-issue, but my local shop and pocket book are pushing me toward the cautious end of the scale.
I know there are a lot of Ultimate Dust Deputy users here, but I see far less regular Dust Deputy users -- I'm curious how you all set up your systems.
