So let me get this right, you're using the outlet function of the vac sys, to use the exhaust air to spray paint with. Could you then use other tools such as a small air powered brad nailer? (if you could get the hose connections fitting to each). Or is this a bad idea?

The pressure isn't nearly high enough to power air tools.

Hooked my Fuji hvlp gun up the other day for a test and it works a treat.

Going to put it to the test in the next few days spraying a waterborne matt lacquer.
