Curious how you guys cut drawer pulls?

I've been hogging out most of the material with a jigsaw and then using a flush-trim bit on my router along a simple template I made. Just wondering if there's a quicker or better way to be doing it?

I've tried using my neighbor's scrollsaw and repeatability is tough...only issue I'm seeing with my current method is the amount of dust.

If you have a table saw with a dado blade, that would be a good first step and then followup with pattern routing.  I'd use a backer board on a miter square to hold the piece upright and you could quickly reproduce these with minimal dust from the router in finishing.

Ron Paulk (who likes his efficiency) just completed a series on building a new tool trailer/workshop, and he ended up setting on basically the same method (without the advantage of the jigsaw) for his tens of drawers:

In addition, you can stack multiple drawer fronts making it very efficient. Just make sure you measure twice.  [big grin]
