I'm experiencing a problem cutting while using my TS55 and MFT that is stumping me.  Right at the end of the cut, the saw blade appears to cut deeper into the wood towards the fence.  I made sure after the first cut that there was no play from the saw to the guide rail, tightening the saw to the point of not being able to slide and than backing it off until the saw released.  The saw tilt knobs are also tight.  My gut tells me the saw blade is not quite parallel to the guide rail, but I'm not sure.

I'm starting the cut with the saw behind the wood...

and finishing the cut with the saw well beyond the wood before raising the blade...

Everything appears to be locked in tight at the front of the guide rail...

and at the rear of the guide rail...

and at the far end of the fence...

and the workpiece is held securely...

I also tried to stop the cut as soon as the offcut released...

and the problem was still there, although not as much as before.  Any ideas?

Are you raising the saw while it is still running?

There is deflection in the blade while it is static that comes out when it turns. If you leave it in the workpiece and let it slow down, I could see that you might get the results you are showing.

Tom,
In the first cut, the saw was totally clear of the workpiece before I stopped it (not sure if I stopped the saw before or after raising it), so the blade couldn't hit the workpiece while raising.  In the second cut, I'm sure I raised the blade while turning off the saw, but it had less of a problem than the first cut.

James,

Make sure you are not replicating this problem when you are reaching across the MFT. It also looks like the your saw is toed in at the back because of the burn marks. The burn marks may also be from tilting the saw.
