I assume you mean our FastFix chuck system. Nope, it's easy. There's a collar on the back of the chuck that's depressed to attach/remove it from the drill.
Festool CXS Compact Cordless Drill - FastFix
Shane Holland said:There will be two versions, a set and non-set. The only difference will be the inclusion of the right angle chuck in the set. Otherwise, the scope of the delivery is identical.

Festool seems to be the way to go as far as I can tell, but I want brushless, so is the Festool 564216 T 12 going to be the next best thing? Or is there going to be another one to hold out for? I was really diggin the "smaller" size of the CSX compared to a "fill-size" drill, but the NIcad ones are too heavy, the lithium ion ones aren't brushless.....suggestions?

Even though the CXS doesn't have a brushless motor, it does incorporate Festool's smart electronics which protect the motor from overload and overheating. This will keep you from, for instance, burning up the motor like you might in other drills. The CXS, batteries and charger are all warrantied for three years. That's a good insurance policy should anything go wrong with it.
Rjones, yes, unless there is some unwritten rule somewhere, you will still receive a 3 year warranty on discontinued C drills.rjones35 said:Shane Holland said:rjones35 said:So, I'm trying to find some drills for production work, and I was going to hold out for the CSX, but if it's not brushless, that would put put me kinda in the boat I'm in now, the motors wear out. This is probably posted somewhere, or maybe I should know already, but is the warranty still three years on the discontinued C12? The problem with the Metabo motors was the that the brushes actually wore out, wore down to nothing. So that is a concern of mine. As well as getting a discontinued model, and having problems down the road maybe getting parts or service done.
