Hello Everyone,
This is my first post, I've been using this site for a resource but haven't had a question until now.
I was having issued with the drill chuck on my CXS drill--it would not attach to the drill. My other CENTROTEC devices still worked-the 90 degree attachment and the standard CENTROCEC chuck. I did finally find a small burr on the drive shaft even though the other attachments still went past it.
The problem is I decided that the reason it the BF-FX 8 would not mount was it was dirty. I removed the snap ring and it went soaring across the shop and I can't find it anywhere. I called Festool and they said that they can't get me one because it is sold as part of the drill. As it turns out there was a small burr on the drive shaft so after some emery paper it slide onto the drill(I had it apart at this point)
I measured the shaft and it is a little over 17mm. Has anyone sourced a snap ring for this chuck? I could sure use a hand or it sounds like I have to purchase a new chuck
