Cyclone separator for Festool Midi or other dust extractor.

I am planning to build a Pre separator using Gorilla dust deputy. Design it so it will fit top of Festool  Midi Vacuum. I know there are various threads regarding this. Please share your experience,  that will help in my build.

During the time I owned a CT26, I simply clamped a board to the hose garage with a couple of c-clamps, and mounted the DD to the board with bungee cords. When it comes to shop improvement projects, I always try to get them done in the simplest manner (with the least possible amount of money/time spent).

There are 3d printed feet cleats for T-loc as well as the latch receiver.  I stuck these on some plywood and screwed my old dust deputy outer bucket to it.  Being able to mount and unmount using the T-loc has been handy.

Lots of talk about about the importance of anti-static connections, hoses, etc. (IMO) set that aside. Some people build boxes with feet as described - here is where you can purchase 3d printed cleats if you don't have access to a printer. On several occasions I've come close to coughing up the money for the Oneida (black box), but never pulled the trigger. This is on my list to build one also and I will be going the same route as Frank. L I N K  - one TStak or Versastak and call it a day.

I needed an extra hose and have seen the Bosch hose with LBoxx pop up a few times on clearance at the orange box. On the third time I bit and scored it for $45. Would make a good candidate for a waste container with a little foam rubber seal.
