That's a very useful clamp.

Pressing the green handle tightens the clamp to your work and  prevents movements of rail and workpiece.

I found this too. But you can use them if being careful about the shifting.

But that clamp has been a life saver in a few odd situations.

I have one. In my random "clamps I may need one day" systainer. I found it shifts (just a smidge) all too easy to be trusted completely. Not something you want in a clamp.

I have one and I find that it is more reliable and easier to use than the regular clamps when used with the rail.

These clamps are obviously less secure than the bar clamps but they’re way better than nothing. Mine are seldom used. I think the last time was to hold the rail on a deep box.

When I bought them, it was shifting when I was tightening them but I later found out that you don't need to use them that tight. Now it's my go to rail clamp. It's fast and secure.

Maybe they’ve changed the design? I find it rock solid on 12 and 18mm sheets

The only time I use the Rapid Clamp is for trimming assembled cabinetry for installation. Very much used for scribbing, but more straight line that can then be cleaned up with a belt sander as needed.

+1 on the shifting issue.  Anyone using this should take care when clamping so as not to throw off the rail position.

I've used it successfully when I don't over-torque it.

I still prefer the quick ratchet clamps.  After those, the screw clamps are #2.

One of the things I have used it for a couple times was clamping the rail to a fully assembled cabinet box. In order to cut around the four sides to make the box smaller or split a box at a partition.

For me it is a special purpose clamp.

Same here.  Handy at times, but not a go-to tool regularly used tool.
