This is my first post in here, but I am an avid woodworker.

I am in the process of final assembly of a desk. I have been working on this on an off for the last few months. Couldnt be happer with how it is turning out. I used the Domino for a good majority of the assembly process. That tool has paid for it self so many times over.

Looks great!

How will you finish it?

How about the work top, are you keeping the edges straight or are you going to bevel/chamfer them?

Going to stain, but trying to decide what the top coat will be. On the edges, I am going to chamfer them (lightly). I like the squared off look.

Any feedback advice is welcomed.

I finished my wife's desk with General Finishes Arm-R-Seal Semi-Gloss and it has held up very well.  I also used this finish on a dining room table and a breakfast kook table all have taken a fair amount of use and show no signs of distress.

The finish can be wiped on or brushed on (better with a foam brush).  On the dining room table (Brazilian Rosewood) I did a wipe on with very thin coats.  On the Black Walnut table, I used a foam brush and in all cases I put on four thin coats.

Beautiful work! Looking forward to some more pics, I'm a fan of big beefy desks like that.
