Discontinued C12 Package?

I ordered the C12 with the chucks and extra battery (Festool Item PC1213S) and got a message that this is a discontinued item. This seems strange  since the C12 was recently introduced. Is my distributor mistaken, or did Festool discontinue this item?

It is still on every website I checked including Festool's.

the c12 has not been discontinued as far as I know. we usually get notices in advance if any tool is discontinued. the tdk12 ce is being discontinued thou ,check to see if you looked at that by mistake.

No Mistake. Checked it 2x. The email says the C12 Cordless Drill NiCd 1.3 Ah Set (PC1213S) containing the 4 chucks and the extra battery is discontinued. I think they made a mistake telling me it was discontinued. It says on their website it is in-stock. It says it is available on the FestoolUSA site. It is in stock at several other dealers. But my order was cancelled.

It might be the NiCD batteries, I have read something on a German forum a while back that they weren't allowed to be sold anymore in Germany soon. (NiCD batteries in general, not just the festool ones), Maybe festool is anticipating this, and is fasing them out. (So your dealer can't order new ones) Probably just a brain-fart from me, but it COULD be it...

Could be.  Cadmium is on the "nasty" materials list in most countries.  But I don't see a problem provided the expired batteries are properly recycled.

Your dealer is mistaken, this is not a discontinued item, it is just comes with the systainer labeled as a set, where before it was not labled on the systainer as a set.
