Can you tell me the exact distance from the center of the bit to the different edges of the OF 1400?  I need the very precise distance, and I could not find it in the manuals (yes, I could measure, but I want the factory spec on this).

Thanks,  Darrell

Darrell,

First welcome to the FOG!  If you are looking for a quick answer from Festool it may not be coming today.  I know that Shane is tied up.  If you decide to measure yourself, it might be easier to use the center marks on the sides of the base.  I only mention that because many users don't recognize those marks as having any meaning.  Not trying to insult.

[welcome]

If you need precision then you'll need to measure your router to get the exact center (assuming you already have the 1400).

[welcome] to the fog

personally i would get a piece of ply and screw a staight edge to it, then run the router along it, measure the distance from the straightedge -cut and add 1/2 the width of the cut. that way you would know the exact distance for your machine

Lay two pieces of wood perpendicular to each other (one should be taller than the other, verify with a square), lay the base to the tall piece, mark the center and measure.  Measure with a square to get the correct measurement.

Welcome. Sorry I can't answer the question but thought I would say you have a great name lol.
