I received my new TS75 with 75" and 55" LR32 guide rails.  I'll be using the saw primarily to break down sheet goods on 4x8 foam insulation on saw horses in the driveway.  I've not yet used the saw yet, but I'm wondering do I need to buy the TSO GR60 for breakdown or can I get a perfect 90 degree cuts using just the track?  I'm also planning on building a MFT3 style outfeed table, and have the same question, do I need the TSO product for accurate 90 degree cuts for cabinets?

The TSO GRS-16 just makes things easier. You can cut square without it. But at some point you decide that the money you spend on the GRS is less than the time wasted to do without.

Thank you Coen.  My first project (cart for DW735 planer) I broke down using a milwaukee saw trying to follow pencil marks.  I had to joint each edge of the plywood for final dimension cuts on table saw.  I didn't like doing that so hence, I was thinking the TSO.

I bought a GRS 16 PE and I like it. Except for the fact it doesn't fit into the Systainer IV classic that my TS 55 calls 'home'. It does however fit T-Loc Systainers IV with some inlays.

The GRS 16 (non-PE) probably fits in the classic.

For the non-US market Festool has a license-build version of the TSO GRS 16 PE under it's own label. For European customers that is way cheaper than buying the TSO version.

A helpful setup tip btw is referencing the track off razors stuck in the pencil line, which can get you a hairline or two more of accuracy when just working from pencil marks.

I agree with ear3 - start with a large square like the woodpeckers or TSO MTR.
Something with a long reference edge.
The rail squares are quicker/handier, but a large square will have multiple uses. And the longer reference edge is good for checking your MFT or panels for square.

I have the MTR from TSO and I like the size. Woodpeckers also has an 18” triangle that would work well.
