I have the soft and hard pads for the RO 90. I'm wondering exactly what the difference is between them and the specific polishing pad? Also , to use vlies for cleaning metal, etc. would I use one of the sanding pads or the polishing pad?

[size=13pt]The Polishing Pad, at least on my RO150 has no dust extraction holes. This feature, together with the removable dust port, prevents oils, wax and other products from entering the sander.

The soft pad is for general use. The hard pad will help you keep crisp corners and is good for flattening surfaces.

The polishing pad is actually 80mm instead of 90mm. All polishing pads are undersized to prevent incidental contact between the pad and the surface being polished. The polishing media (sheepskin, sponge, etc.) is 90mm and will overlap the edge of the pad. Also, as mentioned, the polishing pad has no holes.

You do not need the polishing pad for use with Vlies.
