Does the 27mm hose covered with a Gorilla Sleeve still fit in the CT hose garage

Which CT do you have?
The hose only gets a little stiffer by adding the Gorilla Sleeve and cannot be curved that easy as before.
But it hardly gets any thicker.
You can also choose to use the sleeve only at the machine end of the hose for 1-1½ meter, because that part mainly gets stuc with the work piece.

It stores fine in a CT 22.

[member=44099]Cheese[/member] do you have your power cord taped to the hose?

No [member=27126]ChrisK1970[/member], everything's held together with about a 3" wide strip of heatshrink tubing.

Here's a better shot of it.

Nice job, Where do you get 3" heat shrink tubing?

The toolnut site recommends ordering 14' of the gorilla sleeve to cover the standard CT hose, but I wish I had gotten another foot or two additional length, because the sleeve expands out even more when you're stuffing the cord inside as well.

I purchased that from Wirecare also, it's purchased in 1 foot increments. 1 1/2" diameter and it's a 3:1 shrink ratio. Heres a link.

Available from WireCare USA in many different colours and types.
Although Flexo Pet is the most common/cheap.

Thank you.

I felt like I wasted my money on this product. It makes the hose annoyingly stiff if you do the whole things. It will not wrap up well anymore. I used to have my cord duct taped to the hose ever foot or so. Worked fine that way. As someone else suggested above your best off just putting the sleeve over the last meter or so of the hose where it would snag normally.

My approach was to use Velcro cable ties every 18 inches and the hose remains flexible and the power cord stays out of the way.
