Domino 700 cutter stuck

I've had a DF 700 for a couple of years, used all the cutter sizes, but for the last few months have seem to have only been using the 10mm. When I came to remove the 10mm today it was very stuck. I hadn't overtightened it ( normal resistance + a tweak). I did manage to free it eventually. Any tips to help when this happens, and any tips to stop it happening again ? Thanks Geoff

Try putting a very light coat of never sez on the threats. You can pick it up at most auto supply stores.

.....I only ever hand tighten this on to the spindle.

As the spindle turns the cutter tightens on the thread. I do the same for the 500 also.

I would remove the cutter after every use.

Concur.  Be sure to get the anti-seize lubricant on the threads AND the shoulder against which the bits are tightened.  Hand tighten only.

As Sparktrician stated, what actually binds is the shoulder of the bit with the shoulder of the drive shaft. At least this is true for a DF 500, I assume it is the same with its bigger brother.

That shoulder interface is where the Never-Seez needs to be applied and then a dab on the threads if you like.
