Domino calibration issue

Hi All,

back again from a long journey - great to find out, you're all still here - promise to be more visible in the future..

After doing some woodworking, i discovered my Domino to be off in regards to the horizontal allignement - so what, i took the calibration procedure docu and tried to calibrate my Domino -
so far i didn't succeed as i still have a small miss alignment between both parts fitting together.

Does anyone have similar experience, or if not can point to a bullet proof method, how to calibrate the domino.

I also found that my Domino was "off" about 3mm but rectified it by elongating the screw holes on the registration plate so I could line up the centre. It was a bit fiddley but was worth the effort.

Thanks Mate for your quick reply - but can you elaborate a little more on this as i'm not sure if i'm getting the clue out of it - did you widen the holes - just as an fyi, i'm having the first model with the register pins - there is only one screw, which can be turned by +/- 45 degrees with a large screw driver - but in my case this seems not much enaugh - can you post a photo how you did what you did

Mike, there is a fair amount of adjustment in the eccentric bushing. However, if yours is beyond this, then it is possible that the cutter sweep is off center. I wouldn't recommend trying this yourself. This is something that you should probably send in for service.

The problem I had was with the little plastic scale, I don't have the pins.

Yes, but if I read Mike's post correctly, he is having a problem with the pins.

If you look at the picture above, you can see that the pin is not centered in the brass bushing. It is closer to the top than it is to the bottom. So in this picture the pin is in the neutral position. If you rotate the barrel 90 degrees counterclockwise, the pin will move closer to the centerline of the Domino. If you rotate it 90 degrees clockwise, the pin moves away from the centerline of the Domino.

Mike had indicated that this moves only +/- 45 degrees, but it should actually turn +/- 90 degrees.

thanks guys for your quick and helpfull replies, i'll do some snapshots when i get back in the shop of the Domino and the resulting difference - special thanks to Rick for his outstanding manual, which helped me trying to calibrate -
the adjustments have been very tough, as this srew (even though it was unlocked with the 2mm Allen key)  turned only with very large torque - maybe the bushing is worn ?

just one additional question about the sweep - isn't this a fixed thing on the domino, cause the motor head is gliding on these rods, which still have no play - has the missalignment of the sweep been a problem in the past on other machines ?

The sweep is adjustable but I don't have a procedure for it.
