I have a counter top to install. I was wondering if you more proficient top installers  would help me out. I was thinking that 2 or 3 domis along with the metal dog bones would keep the miter joint a little tighter and nicer??
Thanks Tom in AK

I don't see why not. Biscuits are used now for alignment by some. The Dominos would just be tighter and more accurate (if done right). Since the alignment will be of just the top surfaces, I would use the widest mortise and make fitting easier laterally. You don't say what the top is made of, so I assuming since you are able to cut holes for the Dogbones, the material can be cut easily with the Domino cutters.

Tom,
The Domino's will be great, because you can glue them!
I've had bad luck with biscuits In the past, they grow or expand when coated with glue, this forms bumps in the tops surface,  >:( Now I NEVER glue them, the Drawbolts and glue will hold everything together.
The Domino's CAN be glued because they do not expand.
