Hi guys,

Much to my frustration I was in the middle of making some windows, just started to make a plunge and the domino let out a small flash and stopped! Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen? is an xl and is only just over a year old. Is very inconvenient as I cant finish the windows now and they cant get it booked into repair until next Tuesday by which time my next job is booked in for!

Without seeing it, it's possible that the Plug-It cord wasn't fully locked. When you plug in the cord but don't give it a full turn to lock it, it can get a bad connection that causes it to short.

Festool uses auto stop brushes, if you have used your Domino a lot in the year that you've owned it, there is a chance the bushes are worn out.  This is unlikely unless you run your Domino hard in a production shop.

I always make sure the cords are locked in on all the tools so cant imagine it was that, in the time I've had it, its made about 50 windows, maybe 10 doors, couple of kitchens and other little cabinet stuff. So not a huge amount, it's worked flawlessly up until now. Im not heavy on my tools and never make them labour so it will be interesting to see what the fault was. I just dropped it off so hopefully will be fixed soon, worryingly they had about 6 kapex's in there for repair!
