i've been looking at picking up a domino off facebook for a project i've got in mind.  i've seen em in the systainer strait, and at an angle.  when i check online they've got new ones at each position.

is one newer?    are there any differences?  seems like the description is the same on both of them, so im guessing the picture is wrong and one doesnt include something, or one is an older model.

Thanks for a quick reference.  did a search but nothing was showing up for systainer domino, or domino angle.

I suggest you visit a Festool store and handle both. The 500 is the smaller tool and, for me, is perfect for 80% of my projects. The 700 is a beast. It's perfect for tables, beds, gates, etc.

I'd be leery of buying a used Domino. They are a wonderful tool but can be damaged if misused.

Both machines use an array of cutters and tenons and it's wise to stock up on both.

There are some excellent YouTube videos that compare the two machines.

If you buy one, watching "how to" videos will shorten the learning curve.

Yeah seems they went straight with the Sys3
Can't really see if they now include a spot for the round-stock support thingy.

Inlays are usually changed without any fanfare.

Maybe post screen grabs?

The DF700 is so large it has to be angled to fit in its Systainer.

Sorry, was looking at the DF500's.  Pics attached, i'll continue reading though the comments.
Thanks!

First picture, with the cord on the lid, is the current Systainer3.

Second picture is the original Systainer with two latches. This could also be an older DF500 with alignment pins instead of paddles.
