Drilling Holes with OF1400 at Fixed Intervals

I was at my local Festool dealer today to buy an LR32 55" rail. Whilst I was there, I tried the edge guide plus parallel guide to set the rail parallel to an edge, and then used an OF1400 with the hole drilling plate on the LR32 rail. Worked like a charm. You just have to make sure that your first hole on each column is parallel with the top or bottom of the material so that your holes are level.

So instead of an outlay of about $550 for the complete kit you can get away for less than $230. Of course I am not doing 32mm cabinets or anything like that, just shelf holes in bookcase etc.

It's a system isn't it?   [big grin]My demo may not have been the right thing for each, but it did cause some to look, ponder, and try.  That was my goal.
