I have CT48 and 36 mm hose attached. i own various other tools and a router table that I want to connect the Festool CT48 to for dust collection. My router table and Delta oscillating spindle sander and another drum sander are the most troublesome to connect to. Anyone have a good source for adapters that will fit over or inside the 36 mm hose fitting?

At my local lumber yard they sell rubber pipe connectors of all sizes and they come with a metal sleeve over it to tighten (about $2), I don't use the metal sleeve, but I found the inner rubber sleeve comes in many sizes and fits over the vac side end perfectly.    I use them to join festool hoses.  I imagine one of the rubber sleeves would fit the 36mm end too. It would be found with all the pipe fittings.  Not sure this helps, but the rubber is very stretchy and can connect different size hoses to a certain degree.

We don't have any locally owned lumber stores anymore in my area. Would this be in the plumbing department of a Menard's, Lowe's, or Home Depot? I couldn't tell whether the pipe connectors were for plumbing work or some other connections like conduit or general purpose.

I believe what Jay is referring to are Fernco couplings, you'll be able to find them at any plumbing place or home center.
