Ok, I need some of you smart guys to help me out again. I finally rid myself of my old Shopsmith DC and got a dust deputy with a 55-gallon plastic drum, driven by my CT36. Setup was working great until I hooked it up to my Dewalt DW735 planer. Problem is that the blower on the planer is blowing air into the drum faster that the CT can take it out causing the lid to lift up and then dust blows. I think the problem may be that I am running the 27mm hose from the CT to DD and a 2.5" hose from the planer to the DD. I put a smaller 1.5" hose from the planer to DD and it stopped the lid from lifting, but caused the planer to spit a lot of chips out the front and built up on the table. Do you think increasing the hose diameter between the CT and the DD would help?? I would rather not have to restrict the blower as it does a really great job of clearing chips. I did try the 1.5" hose I had between the CT & DD, but still had the lid lifting off. Maybe I need to go to 2.5"??
