Dust extraction for cordless drills

Hopefully this is something that can be done. I do a lot of work in finished apts/houses where i have to drill holes to mount anchors, mollys,towel bars,toilet paper holders etc.  Most of it is through plaster and some concrete. It would really put festool ahead if there was a dust extraction connection to drill.  No need for plastic bag and painters tape or vacuum afterwards. The concrete dust is fine and can be a pain to get it all up. Just a thought and would be a buyer of the drill if it was available. Im also available for product testing as well. Lol

Combine it with a bluetooth battery and vac module and you don't even need to manually turn on the vac when you drill.

Forget about the crazy expensive Festool and Bosch solutions, I have this one for under €5 and it's much more user friendly.

DeWalt do a brushless SDS drill that has a small vacuum atachment thats powered off the tool battery.
I have the drill which is great but so far I've not bought the vacuum atachment.
It means you don't have to lug a massive extractor about when you're just drilling a few holes and moving on.

Owning and working exentensively with both dust extraction accessories that [member=59951]Dick Mahany[/member] has shown, I can only strongly suggest getting at least the Festool Drilling dust nozzle D 27-BSD 500483 and if you use hole saws in masonry/concrete a lot, also the Bosch.

Both are absolute game changers.

The Festool (which essentially is a Starmix product: "Bohrfixx"https://www.starmix.de/en/bohrfixx ) uses a 2 chamber system, so your drilling dust and debris will never come in contact with the wall/material you put it on. Perfect for use inside otherwise finished/ lived in rooms.

The Bosch is excellent for use with hole saws up to 68 mm, the amount of dust and debris collected it enormous.

For 17 EUR, I would buy a original festool. Fits also nicely in a systainer (if you have a BHC 18).

Bosch also offers the Speed Clean bits.  Pricey, but the most compact and efficient method.  No need to clean out the bottom of holes either unlike other styles of drill/vac devices.

Milwaukee also came out with their version of the vacuum bit for both SDS Plus and SDS Max. Home Depot has them on display and they are spendy. They average around 4x-6x the cost of a standard Milwaukee bit.  But if that's what you need...

Those components may be made by either, but most of the actually Hammer Steel stuff is likely Bosch or Hilti.

I even have an Hitachi adapter and extensions that neither Bosch or Hilti sell as far as I'm aware, and they also look like they are made by Bosch or Hilti.  They have the same markings on the components and are made in Germany.

A lot of people are not aware that Bosch and Hilti came up with the SDS systems as a joint venture way back in the 70s.
