Dusted off old tool today

Dug out old hinge mortise jig. Had three doors to mortise so I thought I would use the old Black and Decker. First time I used it with the 1010. It worked really well was perfect fit for hinge. Anyway thought I would share. Some pictures anyone use this model it was given to me by an old boss many years ago. He had a newer one so he gave me his old one. Still does the job.

I've hung doors my whole life and never have seen that b&d hinge jig. That thing is old school! Looks like its early model of the porter cable jig set I use today. Similar design. Thanks for sharing festooltim.

I didn't see any date on it. This is the way it was when it was given to me. He has made a lot of repairs to it over the years. I have owned it for about 19 years. The previous owners is about 75 years young now. I have only used it probably a couple dozen times over the years. First time I used it with the 1010 and they worked great together.

Next time I see him will have to ask when he bought it.
