I made these for the wife.  She saw end tables @ Pier 1 (https://www.pier1.com/caroline-end-table/3736013.html) but @ $249/each at the time, I told her I would attempt to make them.

Legs and table made of poplar and the top is pine.  I brushed the legs and table with BM Advance in Linen White, used a foam brush on the top to apply GF WB woodstain and GF HP Topcoat in Satin.

Pine was chosen for the top so I could practice on the design and to make sure the color was correct.  Will eventually be replaced with maple.

I learned a lot.. especially that I need to learn how to spray.

I think they came out pretty close to what pier 1 has.

Very nice looking table. Good job on the replication, you save some money, make the wife happy, and have the satisfaction of telling everyone you made it yourself.

Excuse me for taking the liberty of making the picture a bit more accessible for your audience.

Great job.  What did you use to cut the tapers on the legs?  Nice proportions.  It also looks like you made drawers.  What did you use for the slides?  Very well done indeed.

Thanks all.  The tapers were made on a table saw using this method (ffwd to 5:05) -

It took me a few times watching the video to understand his thinking.

nice job, any chance of getting the plans?  [embarassed] I'm very new this and would like to give it a whirl.
thanks
