My first purchase was a TS55/CT22 combo w/boom arm and a 1080 MFT. Then came the Domino, the ETS150/3, and the OF1010. Now I have discovered Sortainers.  Sold the table saw, miter saw, band saw and  Bosch router/table combo.

The equation was simple: More accuracy + more space + more efficiency - dust = more fun and productivity.

You sold your band saw?

I am sorry, though I have seen some neat ideas for re-sawing with the Festool system I would be lost without a band saw.

I can kind of see replacing the table saw and miter box(maybe), but not the band saw. I guess if speed is absolutely not in the equation you could do anything, but Festool offers the miter box for a reason. A Band Saw can run an entire shop and to me is the best overall saw there is and if I could only have one saw, it would be the Band Saw. A band saw can make almost any cut another saw can make(except on sheet goods) and to me is a must for any shop.

I know  people have different needs, but a newbie should not be under the impression a band saw can be skipped over for the festool system, it can not, IMHO. Especially if you want to invest in exotic woods.

I can't rember if it was the ts75 or the ets 125. They were close to each other. I must admit, I was skeptical at the prices right up until I made my first plunge into a piece of wood and then turned on the sander. I was sold at that point. My old PC sander would make my hands go numb and still not do as good a job.
