Hello all,
Question for you!  Will PVA glue bond to an epoxy?  I'll attach a picture of a patch I made in a Maple slab a long time ago.  Now I'm using this in a Roubo bench and I'd prefer to hide the patch but I don't want to regret attaching the front dawg rail to it and it not bond in that area.  Just so happens that is at the end of the bench.  In my hast I guess in the glue up this board ended up on the out side.  And now I'd like to cover it up.  I'm thinking PVA won't bond properly

Thanks for your opinions

If the epoxy is sanded and not shiney I know Tittebond III will stick to it, I have done it.

I think it will "stick" to an extent but it won't properly crosslink/bond. In essence I believe the old adage that the "glue bond is stronger than the wood" won't be true on this occasion.

I'm thinking the same thing that the bond will not be as strong.  Well thank you for you opinions
