I just want to clarify. I purchased the ETS EC 125/3 sander and while browsing here someone mentioned you can use the 150 pad on same sander.

I was thinking once I plow tru all my 5 inch sandpaper might as well get the D6 pad in particular-  Festool Fusion-Tec NEW MultiJetstream 2 Longlife Soft Pad, D6 (202458). Will this pad work on my ETS EC 125/3? I looked at product description of the pad and it did not list the 125/3 as a compatible.

[member=74462]Wood_Slice[/member] it's not the official Festool set up or function, but that pad will work fine on the ETS EC 125 sander. No problem what so ever. Be aware though that the screw holding the pad on is hard to loosen up sometimes. I believe that they put a little blue loctite on it at the factory. Using and impact driver to loosen is often helpful.

Having said that though, many folks (me included) like to use the hard pad instead of the soft pad on our sanders. That would be:

Sander Backing Pad ST-STF D150/MJ2-M8-H-HT FUSION-TEC #202460

Here's a photo of a 150 mm pad on the ETS EC 125, see the 125 mm Pro 5 for comparison.

And here's a Jetstream II pad compared to the original Jetstream pad. Both are/were on the ETS EC 125.
