I built the station couple of months ago. This thing is awesome. With the addition of the crown stop and using a rip of plywood to keep it set for the proper spring angle. I cut a 45 on the end of it rabbeted the top and bottom. Voila a crown stop for making really small repetitive accurate cuts. View attachment 1View attachment 2

It's nice to see a kapex that looks like it's used, instead of the just out of the box look.
Btw ,I have the plans for that , but am thinking about making the table and using the build up blocks instead. Like paulk has in his recent vids.

THis  is one of the first kapex available on the market. It gets used a lot. Actually just ordered some parts to get it back in shape. My guys sent some bevel cuts through the dust boots. (Back to the Dewalt for them). Dust collection is not very effective at this point. I bought a Bosch for a back up saw. Not to get off topic but the worn out Kapex still beats it hands down.

If you spend the time to build the table you will not be disappointed with it. I do find myself with the wing on the table saw side off. Just feels crowded with it on. I will be building another one for the Bosch with some minor changes. Mainly correcting the mistakes i made with this one.

I have Ron Paulk's plans for the workbench and the total station and something else, maybe the Kapex station.  But I haven't built any of them.  I used the ideas to make a 3 foot by 7 foot workbench/outfeed table.  I also built a 2 foot by 7 foot side table for my RAS/CMS table with a flush mount flip stop track like the total station uses.  I really like those flip stops, great design.  And it lets me use that table for other things easily.

I also like Ron's video series on doing crown molding.  His jigs are all worth making.  I've done crown several times without his setup but it's easier with it.  They are all simple little things made of scrap plywood.  That's one of the great things about Ron Paulk's ideas, they are all realitively simple and inexpensive but most of all they work.
