EZ Bridge on MFT Slab

I was big into Eurekazone for close to 20 years but for a couple reasons few years back I switched to Festool/Makita. It was easy to give up my Eurekazone track (or repurpose it) and accessories but there are a few that have stuck. I like the Universal Edge Guide, router sled kit, and the "Bridge." Many times I tried to think of ways to use the Bridge but they were always too complex. I work out of my garage so everything needs to be broken down and put away.

Well, last week Axminster has a flash sale on some UJK items. While looking them over I found some UJK Parf Anchor Dogs and it was a eureka moment!

Have one more side of the bridge to mod but won't take that long. Remove two speed knobs and the bridge is off. I also think I can use a few repurposed Eurekazone extrusions to make adjustable fences.

I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out what to do with my bridge. I still find it faster to just use the tso square.

I too have been trying to figure out what to do with my EZ stuff and I'm on the verge of trying to sell most of the pieces (multiple tracks, EZ-One, MFT table).  While not perfect, I also like and use the UEG and router guide.  I would like to covert the SRK router guide to work with the Euro style rails, or find something with similar functionality.

Nice find and adaption to utilize the bridge.  I like the idea of being able to use the holes/dogs to quickly square the bridge (something I always struggled with.  How do you adapt/secure the bridge to the euro-style rails?

I used my old track a lot for tile cutting. I bought a metal base for my grinder and attached that to the EZ base. I can convert it back to a regular grinder easily by just detaching the grinder base (1 screw). Also works great for cement board.  -- that's if you ever do that kind of work. I find that EZ track is perfect for this kind of work because they're super strong and rigid.  I wouldn't want to take a euro track outside, throw it on the floor, and hose it off.

As for connecting euro track to the EZ  bridge, you just need to drill another hole or make a slot, then use a t-nut/bolt. The newer bridges came pre-slotted.

[member=69544]Mr_Stop[/member] I was lucky and sold my EZ-One before the big fallout. I adapted one of my tracks to my SCMS mobile base sort of like FastCap. The router kit actually fits the Makita/Festool rail pretty good.

If you want I can take a pic but I attached the rail with 5/8"-16 "T-Slot" bolts. I needed to grind the sides a bit but I just dropped them through the existing hole that was used for the Ez-track. Ha -very EZly done.

Hey Mike,

Nice to see you're still having fun in the track saw world. The price of sheet goods going up (over here anyhow) was a real downer. 3/4BB went from $80 a sheet to over $120! Really limits my projects when I have to either use mdf or treat things like they're made of silver.

I'd like to see what you did to the miter saw stand. I have one of those rigid msuv mobile stands that go on sale for $99. I want to put some kind of detachable fence system on it, but I don't use it often enough to put time into figuring it out.

I'm a remodeling contractor and tile is part of my everyday life.  I'll have to consider that if I need a cut larger than my wet saw or snapper can handle.

I'll snap a few pis's when I get a chance. I use a calibrated stick (similar to FastCap) and a stick on rule. Very productive mod.
