Got all the doors sanded, trimmed , hinge holes drilled and beading fitted today. Finished off the 7 loose shelves yesterday.

Just gotta wait for my painter to finish it all then I can pop in over Christmas to fit everything.

Great work [big grin] [big grin]

Do you domino the doors, add 6mm mdf pegs in the groove for the panel, then cover this with paintable edge banding?
No the doors just have a 6mm  slot run on the router table, theres pics in this thread near the beginning. I then use 6mm loose MDF tongues.

I used the edging once before but for these I've not bothered. It's all moisture resistant mdf so easy to get a good edge

Oh i see, thanks for that.

I'm making a job like this in the new year and your thread is a great help thanks  [thumbs up]

That's going to (is) looking great. I used to lose tongue, but love the domino now doors.  Having said that, I haven't done it that way on 18mm doors.  Only on 22mm and popular thicker doors. Domino everything, then groove. Makes the glue up a lot easier I find.

Yeah I suppose domino's do help to line everything up. With the loose tongue's you do have to make sure the rails and stiles line up, easy enough to keep an eye on though

I dominoed the carcases but used the middle waggle setting on the carcase sides so I has some play. I could then just tap the shelves flush where needed

Mmm domino would be another good way.

I only have a biscuit machine right now and wouldn't trust them to hold out. Thinking of using the loose tongue method with plenty of glue. Maybe even a small pin either side inside. I'm always way over the top with this sort of thing [eek]

I noticed someone selling domino's in the Amazon 4 for 3 thread if you want one

Mmm now that tempting, sadly had my car written off this week if not i'd certainly be getting on. Domino was the first festool i got introduced to, since then i've brought every tool bar that and a rotex. Next on the list however [big grin]

Found a photo I hadn't uploaded , shows better how the units went together with the fluted sections pocket screwed to one side first.

Finished off today. All the doors and shelves fitted perfectly pheww!!

Used my kreg shelf pin jig to do the shelf holes and the hinge holes ,this worked perfectly :).

Not the greatest pictures I'll get some better ones in daylight.

Cheers, I must admit I probably spent 2 days doing the sketchup drawings. I'm sure I'll be quicker next time just takes awhile to get the hang of sketchup.

Terrific job. Plan to execution awesome. I suggest you treat yourself with a full Systainer.

News year resolution... Learn sketch up.

Cheers lads, the customer wants wardrobes next but I'll have to come back to do those. I've got another set of wardrobes and a kitchen to fit next. A few days off first me thinks :)

And a few beers too...  [wink]

Looks fantastic Chris.

Thanks for documenting the build out on here; it's been really great to follow along. Looking forward to you documenting the next project!
