Give me a Hultafors tape ANY day! https://hultafors.com/en-gl/collections/talmeter
I bought a Hultafors based on the near-mythic powers attributed to it by cult members, but I don't get it.
There are just a couple videos on using it online - one of them shows using the built-in scribe to put a layout line on drywall - hardly the kind of precision tool I need in the shop.
The tip at the tape end doesn't move, so I would always question whether it's setup for inside or outside measurement.
The built-in scribe in the tape body can scratch you and your work when you don't want it to.
Is the tape measurement for the left of the scribe or the right of the scribe? For drywall, the about 1mm thickness doesn't matter, but it matters for me.
The rear extension for inside measurements seemed like a good idea until I went to use it. Just use two sticks with points and a clamp.
I still have the thing - can someone describe how to use it?
