Felder pricing is rather insane, not because they are trying to screw you, but because of the software they use to configure machines. I've been to the Delaware showroom a couple times to try their stuff out and place orders. It's an old DOS like terminal where you click off the options you want, and a price, along with associated discounts comes out. Adding or removing a seemingly small option could make the price jump or drop somewhat randomly. The Austrian division has certain option packages that make you eligible for discounts from the factory, while the US side has additional discounts depending upon the total order. Then there are holiday or show promotions layered in. Unlike Festool, which just raises their prices every year despite currency movements, Felder USA will raise and lower prices throughout the year to reflect currency moves. Without knowing exactly what you want, and when you plan to order, it's hard to get an estimate as to what it will cost. Be patient, and work through the process with your sales rep. Mine were generally good people to work with and didn't seem to be playing tricks. Blame Felder in Austria for the crappy software given to the US importers.
First piece of advice, buy the 3200mm slider if you have the space.
