Festool Clamps compatible with T Track brands

Hi there, hi Seth,

did you try the Kreg Heavy Duty Track as well, or just the normal (I think 1/4") Tracks?

Thanks

Hi, welcome to the FOG!  [smile]

I only tried the regular, I don't have the heavy duty ( http://www.amazon.com/Kreg-KMS7704-48-Inch-Heavy-Track/dp/B0002QZ4UI )  to test.  Based on the pictures of the heavy duty , it looks like the channels are shallow like the regular.  I am sure someone  here on FOG must have some of the heavy duty that they could try the clamps in.

I have the Kreg Top Trak, channels look identical to the Heavy Track, and they are too shallow for the Festool clamps.

I have 8' of old Rockler t-track I never used and sadly the 4 or 5 flip-stops I have from the MFT/3  DO NOT FIT!  The flip-stops do fit the Incra track (I picked some up at Woodcraft on sale last month).

Just rec'd my Lee Valley T Tracks and both the quick clamps and the screw clamps fit in the 5/16 track(Item 12K7932) . They do not fit in the 1/4 track though....Glad I read this thread it might have taken me years to give this a try!! lol
Thanks for all the help I've rec'd in FOG forums, I finally got to post something nobody else had!! haha
Greg

I believe that all the Festool clamps have the same slightly slimmer profile as the Quick clamps in my original post.  So the compatibilities should be the same for both the quick clamps and screw type clamps assuming you are not using screw type clamps from quite a few years ago.

I wonder if these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-ft-T-Slot-T-Track-Aluminum-Jig-Clamp-Hold-Down-/270533884216?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3efd137938 will accept the festool clamps? It says it accepts standard 1/4-20 hex bolts, the same as the incra track. Anyone tried these?

I have tracks that appear to be identical, which I purchased from McMaster Carr. The clamps do fit them.

RMW

Jackpot! I was just mulling this question...thx!

What I want to know now is if those Incra tracks can be set in 3/4" birch ply. I have a need to add them to my extension wings for my Kapex to make the fence adjustable.

The Incra T-Track and T-Track Plus are 1/2" thick so they can be dado'ed into 3/4" ply. They come with short pan head screws seemingly for that purpose.

Good to know thx..I Also found a 1/4" in track on Woodpeckers which could work well for my application, and it takes 1/4-20 bolts etc.

I want to be able slide my fence forward and back on my extension wings. I just have to figure out how to fasten to the T track since the top of the fence is occupied by the Kreg stop system. Maybe some blocking on the back of the fence with through-bolts to the track.

The Woodpecker track I have used, their "dual purpose" track, is slightly too small for the Festool clamps. They only fit if you file/grind a touch off of the sides of the clamps, which I have done with all my clamps and it does not impact their use in the guide rails, etc. That may not be the case with the track you linked to but the photo does make is appear to have slightly thicker sides than the Incra tracks.

Also, the McMaster and Incra track has a recess for the pan head screws, without this I think the screw heads may hit the clamp.

Time to awaken a old thread !

I'm trying to find a festool clamp  compatible t track in Australia
I tried the veritas 5/16 and it seems a bit sloppy
Thanks

The Festool quick clamps and the Dewalt track clamps fit the Incra T track perfectly.

I read somewhere that this "Orange Aluminum" track works with the Festool clamps, but I haven't tried it.  I used the Incra track.  The price seems great on the Orange Aluminum track compared to Incra.

Cut Length Sku Each

18" OA7150-18 $4.13
24" OA7150-24 $4.82
36" OA7150-36 $6.34
48" OA7150-48 $7.83

I just got some of this track and Festool clamps do work with it.  I bought extra track because it was cheap and shipping costs didn't change much.
6 - 4ft pieces shipped from coast to coast for $58.63

What the heck is a seven year old doing posting on the FOG, particularly if it's late?
