Festool CSC Mobile Cart

Have you considered adding draw latches to keep the carts together? The video is for illustration only. It is not a brand recommendation.

If they are all at the same height, they will allow interchangeability.

No haven’t considered adding latches to connect them together but thanks for the idea as I do sometimes set them up together as an infeed or outfeed to the saw or router for long stock

Also put them back to back to create an additional surface sometimes depending on project needs

Locking wheels do a fair job of this, but substantial latches are easier to use.

Yes I have locking wheels on the front of the carts and all the wheels on my Paulk bench which gives lots of stability. The back wheels are fixed as it’s much easier to park them away ….. I did try with swivel ones but they kept catching when pulling them out … might be a design issue on my part but they needed to be close to the corners so I could lock them and couldn’t position them to be able to do both jobs so gave up and went for fixed at the back and swivel locking at the front and it’s been fine. Will look into the latches though 🙂👍

Fixed wheels are often better suited for the purpose than swivel but don’t get used as much as they should. For under table storage I use a plywood platform with non-swivel wheels so it doesn’t need much clearance on the sides and always goes right back where it came from with no fuss.

I agree you can get really tight clearance with the fixed wheels, parking is easy and the second you pull the cart out the swivels are in use so easy to position around the shop … took me a while to get it right but now really pleased with they way they work.
