Festool ETS 150/3

What would you consider a good price for a used ETS 150/3 that is 5 years old ?  Someone is selling one for $235 plus shipping, and it seems a little high. Thanks

Assuming best case, that it is in good shape, includes the systainer and some paper and hasn't seen to much use that seems reasonable.  Festool seem to hold their value very well.  Don't overlook the value of the sandpaper though if its included, a couple boxes of Festool paper get expensive.

Other end of the spectrum, knock ~$75 off for the lack of systainer, another $30 off if the pad is worn, and another $40 if its well used and I'd say its worth about $100.  Keep in mind that the brushes may need to be replaced soon if it has been used heavily.

As long as it includes the systainer 2/3rds of its value actually seems to be in line with second-hand market prices from what I've seen, which are high.  See if you can get them to include shipping, though, which will add on another 20-25 dollars.

It depends on what you are doing.
If you do not have a vacuum, then I would get a good vacuum and a $30 makita... As the sander is only 1/2 the equation these days.
However if you are outside in the breeze then you do not need a vacuum.

Then it also depends on what you are doing. If you are doing anything vertical or on a ceiling then you want an ETC EC (or DEROS). If you only have 1 sander, then IMHO an ETS EC 150/5 or a DEROS 150/5 is pretty hard to beat.

However, to answer your specific question... I would probably wait. If it is a good deal, it will get sold, and if it isn't then the price will adjust until it is a good deal.

The 150 comes with a bag as well, not sure if that was included in you price, but comes in handy when no vac (or steady breeze) is available.
