I figured I'd introduce myself as a new Festool devotee. I've recently been hooked on their equipment and it's been a great excuse to keep building things. The most recent was last night: a heavy equipment cart. It weighs 500+ lbs and contains a Jet drill press, Jet oscillating spindle sander, DeWalt belt sander (in a stand), a vise for word working, and a vise for metal working. Since none of the equipment is Festool, I figured I'd better use Festool green.  ;D

I'm looking forward to learning a bunch on the forums. Click here to see the toolcart.

David,

[welcome] to the forum.  Love your cart and the color.  Now those yellow tools are a different story [poke].  Looking forward to your visits, questions, comments, and PROJECTS!

DavidCBaker mentions "a vise for word working."  I've known some masters at twisting the meaning of words, but I've never seen a tool for it.

I was also admiring your floor.  I was researching shop flooring systems a while back but can't remember the manufacturer of your floor.  Can you provide it?  Also, how do you like the floor? - Easy install?  Comfortable?  How do casters move along on it?  Anything you don't like about it?

Joe, This is all Racedeck. It's great stuff:

I ordered it straight from the manufacturer in Utah and got a discount. I ordered four different styles for pattern purposes. My son and I had it installed in just a couple hours total. The individual pieces trim up nicely with a jigsaw.

It's warm in the winter, cool in the summer, cleans up well, and overall I'm thrilled with it.

Man alive, that workshop is cleaner than an operating theatre!!!! [scared] [eek]

Best not post any pics of my workshop, it looks like an explosion in a saw mill!! :-[

Yes, that's a motorcycle lift. I'm down to a BMW R1200GS. Sold the rest of them. The lift is still pretty handy as a height-adjustable workspace.

Oh man David, that garage space [eek] [eek]....wooooh.  You lucky lucky lucky man.  Killer.  Truly a dream come true, for me at least.

You beat me to it Tom.  I was wondering where is all the green.

Nice Shop!!
