By the way, Seth Semenza has some of the coolest systainer setups I've seen! He's very organized and I try really hard everyday to be more like that!

Bob

I would like to announce that the secret tool unveil from Steve Adams aka QWAS was his new Vacuum Dogs and associated accessories which make up his vacuum clamping system that works in conjunction with the MFT. Stay tuned for video review to be posted. For now you can go look at them at www.qwasproducts.com

Thanks Steve for letting me demo it for you, it was a blast, Eric

Peter took a lot of photos also??? Eric

Yes Peter James was snapping away on that Nikon!  Judging by all he does, I don't think he sleeps!

Bob

Seth  gave me a personal presentation of his systainers which was most impressive. Im gonna miss having him around, Eric

Had a great time.  It was especially great to put real faces and people to posters I have known for so long.
Thanks Eric.

I have never worked with vacuum (let's not comment about what is in my head.  the BOSS comments about that ALL the time).  Very impressive and wheels are already spinning.  Have not checked Qwas site yet, but your demo was an eye opener for me.  I had been talking with Roman about a system he was thinking about.  i think he seemed impressed as well.  That from a craftsman who had experience with vac work.

BTW:  Eric, what do you use to fill the kerf tracks on your MFT tops?  I have use TB III mixed with sawdust and then sanding smooth.  It comes out ok but definitely not as neat as what you have done.  Instead of hiding the lnes, you have accentuated.  It looks really neat and professional.

I had not realized the systainer display was Seth's work.  Very well organized and even more practical.  you have that neat dolly for moving systainers.  I wonder if Seth was able to find all of his (boxes) when he was ready to leave.  ::)

As i mentioned above, I wonder if Seth was able to locate all of his sytainers when he was ready to leave.  maybe he will need to locate Victor L for the photo proof of ownership.  After all, this guy Eric is really a pretty shady character  [scared]

Victor L, if you are reading this, i'm sorry I did not get to chat with you a little more.  Perhaps next time.

It'd be really cool to see some snaps of things - it's lonely over here in Oz  [crying]

Wayne, shhh, Seth is still sleeping in the guest bedroom and i want to use his CO2 set up on my next install. No, really i have to work on the 26th floor of an apartment building this week and im not hauling a pancake up there? Eric

Wayne, that is Bondo and then sanded smooth, works great, you were the coolest guy at the party by far, thanks for coming, Eric

Eric,

Thanks for hosting the open house. I had a blast, got to meet a bunch of fine folks, fondle some Festools, score a little swag... Doesn't get much better that that.

John

Jon, it was great having you. Maybe when the NJ guys copy me and do the same thing down there we will get a CT crew to come down and get to know you better. With hosting, I was always concerned about timing and making sure everyone got to shine.

Want to say a special thanks to ToolNut/FestoolProducts.com for believing in us in our infancy, thanks Sean and Peter, Eric

Eric   IT was a great day, The demo's went well, the sharing of info with one other was great. The surprise that Qwas and you can across with was awesome. I see this as a great way to use the MFT that much better. For me I  am already thinking for door assemblies its an ideal situation.

I want to thank you for the day, I was glad to see the fund raiser come out the way it did.

It was great to meet and greet others with the same interest, As always It was great to see Seth again.

Brother Bob as always awesome

Hope to hookup soon.

Winning the Bow Clamps in the raffle wasn't to shabby either. Thanks Craig

Sal

Pics will go up tonight when I get some free time!

Eric - great host, thank you for all you did. The setup was perfect, the food was great, and you kept everyone on track with demos.

Seth - was nice to finally meet you! We haven't talked much and it was great to spend some time to get to know you. Your systainer setups were AMAZING. You deserve a lot of credit for your vision and implementation.

Bob - great demos! Really clear explanations - I know I got a lot out of them. Glad you liked some of the items I brought over. I don't think we've ever met, just talked on the phone and communicated here. Was great to shake your hand and have some fun.

Sal - always love hanging with you. You came a long way and it's appreciated. Thanks for helping out and for all you do at every event. Sorry you got so wet on the outside of the tent lol!

Charles - wow that chocolate was good! And thanks for showing me that flash! That's my one complaint with my camera.

Tinker - I always love reading your stories - was great to shake hands - we'd love to see you more often.

John - was great to meet you. And thanks for bearing with my cell phone trying to get a signal. Hope the goodies were worth it!

Craig - was also great to meet you. I LOVED your demo and can now easily see why people rave about your product. I'm really excited about it. If I remember correctly, didn't you win your own product in the raffle? Talk about luck.....

Thanks Peter. Tell Sean its company business and do it now?

What did everyone think of the MFT cart and Router Table in person? I want all the haters to know the truth, Eric

Eric.  Your goodies are great, you did a great job on both builds. The Festool green is on the money. Again Thank You for the day. For me a worth wide trip.
Charles I really liked the jefferson desks and damn what a telescope, had to stay away from the chocolate, ( diabetic )
Peter as always it was great seeing and being around you

Sal, it was awesome as always. I cant believe the guy with ship store money wins the big gift. You were gonna buy one anyway.

Seth and I talked about 2013 logistics at dinner and it seems like if we announced it in like March for July  that we would get a turnout that would be too big for my shop. Hopefully Festool will contact me in the mean time and we could work on throwing this again at a hotel, like FestoolConnect? Its sad to say that the First Annual Festool House Party was the only one thrown at a house, but Sal you will always be able to tell the newbs that you were at the first one. Eric
