Alex said:[member=71478]FestitaMakool[/member], why does the bladeguard have two knobs?
So be able to prevent the sides from dropping down... I guess?

Drilling the aluminium base could be a little traumatic (due to the cost of the piece). Is it possible to change the aluminium base of the extension for a, I don't know, a mdf base maintaining the frame?

Is the alu from the standard extension table thick or has grooves or something?
Any photo from below?
I´m thinking the weight of a router may need some extra support from a couple of legs or something

No, there isn’t. But the length of the CS 70 matches the with of the MFT/3... So a VL table might do.

Interesting. So the LA 70 fence works on the mft table?
The mft itself can be a router table then
FestitaMakool said:The VB-CMS/CS 50 has a blind plate, identical in construction to the CMS. system. So either you make a plate with router insert, use Festool CMS-OF or cut out for a router plate on the blind plate that comes with it. This blind plate itself is thin, one layer, as the CMS module plates.

That is correct, the CMS plates will not drop in straight, point is that it’s is of the same construction as the MFT/VL table, only shorter. If you remove the plastic end caps of the table and fabricate new ones in plywood or similar, the OF plate will drop in with minor modification (cut/file away) to the ends of the strengthening profile on the underside of the plate. I’m going to do this mod later, to have all the plates drop into this table as well. The mods doesn’t affect the top surface of the plates.
