I keep wondering if Festool isn't in some way involved with these design studies.

The first item noted was this:

The second item was this:

And now the third item:

If I am not mistaken here is an article that was previously linked to that will explain example 2 for you.  http://www.core77.com/posts/37897/Core77-Visits-Festool-Part-5-QnA-with-Festool-Industrial-Designer-Timo-Kuhls

Pretty neat idea, for sure. That would be a heck of a way to print onto a wall. I could Festool doing something leading-edge like that.

[member=3821]Wonderwino[/member] would dig that second product idea!

I think that the second set was designed by the guy that is Festool's industrial designer while he was still a student.

Thanks Peter,
I was trying to remember where i saw that info but the only thing I had were the jpegs I saved. I could not for the life of me remember where I read that information.
I have a great memory...it's just short. [eek]

Still...I wonder if there is a connection. More importantly, if there is a connection will there be a new product introduction

Qoute from Rain Noe:
Hi John, interestingly, these cookware images were previously not available. I'll leave you to guess why. But I was now allowed to publish the images because the previous reasons no longer applied. Again I'll leave you to guess why.

Yes, there is a connection, Festool in Germany is very involved with technological education for engineers and industrial designers. They often sponsor events and classes. If I remember correctly the systainer was also invented in a class project.

Thanks [member=5277]Alex[/member],
that explains a lot, especially if Festool is sponsoring these activities.  Didn't know that about the Systainer, but it makes sense.

Is there any connection then between Tanos & Festool?
